The lounge/TV room features a 50" HD plasma screen and cinema sound system with a comprehensive library of railway DVDs and books with a strong Settle & Carlisle section as well as a general DVD and book section. Satelllite TV includes the latest HD channels complete with a HD recording facility.
Additional leisure facilities for evenings and inclement weather include the well-equipped games room which features pool, table tennis, table football, darts, railway jigsaws and board games, plus additional TV screen.
The kitchen features a superb Rangemaster Pro 110 dual fuel range cooker and is well appointed throughout.
There is a dedicated PC with ISDN internet connectivity and wi-fi or dial-up connectivity for laptops. Local and national telephone calls are complimentary up to an agreed maximum limit.
The dining room features an exhibition of framed prints of the work of local artist Jenny Holmes including the three best-known S&C viaducts which she drew when they were under threat of demolition.
The six upstairs en suite bedrooms feature a double bed plus extra bunk beds for large group bookings. And there is an additional double bedroom with bunk bed downstairs with adjacent shower/toilet room to cater specifically for the needs of disabled visitors.
Thus Dee Side House accommodates groups of 14-32 people according to usage.
